I know that the CC Schiller is pretty good, but has anyone played the Sousaphone and have any comments about construction, sound, intonation, and the case?

I believe that it appears to be a Conn 20K copy, but I do not know how it plays or how it is built.

doesn’t indicate off-set stems or short stroke pistons, so if a copy then rather after the Conn 38K.

From someone who is teaching band everyday, I know exactly what kind of abuse kids put instruments through. I also know that a new sousaphone is way out of many financially struggling programs. Sometimes we have to find what we can and make it work. I actually have their 186 copy. I am just wanting to know if anybody has actually held, played, and put any of these sousaphones through the ringer to see how they held up.
