Solo with Brass Band

Hi, I have been asked to perform a solo with a local amateur brass band. Does anyone have any good suggestions? I originally wanted to arrange Strauss 1 for brass band but time may not allow it. Thanks

I played a nice little piece with a brass band 10-piece called "Alpine Tuba." You could have the band double their parts.

Light novelty number, or something more serious?
Bass in the Ballroom by Roy Newsome is a quite nice light number, while Capriccio by Rodney Newton is a lovely more serious solo.

Edward Gregsons Tuba concerto is a classic.
For lighter stuff you have one of several Carnival in Venice - versions; Carnival for Bass - Fred Muscroft
Also I remember a piece I played many years ago; Tuba tapestry - Michael Brand.

Badinage (Kevin Norbury) was written for, and recorded by, Patrick Sheridan.
Les Neish has also recorded it with Fuoco Brass.
