Difference between Cerveny 601 and 701

Title says it all. I'm looking at having the Army get me a 601 CC tuba yet the only Cerveny Kaiser I hear about is the 701 (mainly from Neptune's posts). So what are the differences between what Neptune had (701) and the 601 other than the key?

Thanks in advance :tuba:

They are the same key. The 601 is yellow brass while the 701 is rose brass.

They are the same basic horn. The 701 is rose brass and has nickel trim. That's the only real difference, as far as I can tell from the research I have done (as the current player of Neptune's old Kaiser)

The 601 is yellow brass and the 701 red brass. The 701 also has nickel silver fittings including maybe significantly the valves which on my old 701 were very good (fast, smooth and reliable).

I believe only the 601 is available in CC 5 valve?
