The ideas behind this chart have been discussed in a recent thread about fingerings for 6 valve F tubas. Please read there. My first posting is on this address:

Only difference is that the permutations containing the 6th valve have been removed from this chart. This chart only is relevant for tubas with a long whole step in their 5th valve.
