They get some press every Winter Olympics since Nagano, but this year the word is really spreading about "Kleintje Pils" (roughly translates as "Small Beers.") They are one of the many "Dweilorkest" bands in The Netherlands that play during Carnival and other festivals. This band has been playing since 1975!

I have been exploring this sort of music for a while - there are really quite a few of these little brass bands all over Europe... some better, some not so much

Nice to see these small bands getting publicity. I enjoy the small brass groups/street bands of the world. They are doing what they love and have fun doing it, which is what it's all about. Plus it's always good to see the sousaphone getting publicity too! Thanks for posting the link I enjoyed it
