Tuba in Maryland

Post by Euphistuba »

I know there must be some Tuba players from Maryland here!!! HELP!
We just relocated a while back and Im to the point of wanting to connect with a Tuba teacher. I live on the Eastern Shore and Ive not been able to connect with the musical community here yet. Im a serious adult student who would benefit from a solid teacher beyond the basics. I know there are several good pro teachers in the Baltimore Washington area, but Im not quite ready for them just yet.
Any thoughts??

Who's in the Naval Academy band? I don't know.

Where on the Eastern Shore are you?

Pose the question to David Federly at Baltimore Brass. He's a sponsor here.

My whole family is Eastern Shore, so I understand that Baltimore is a world away from you, as is Annapolis--you can't get there from here!Try Salisbury University--they have a decent music dept, and, presumably, a tuba teacher.Good luck.

Also, depending on where you are out there, either Univ. of Delaware or Del. State (in Dover) could be options to check out.
