Any reviews on the MW 2250 yet?

It looks like it could be a winner:
Kinda like a cross between an f and Eb. How might it compare to the sound of an 822?
Thanks in advance,
Bill

I played about 5 notes on one at Midwest before it was taken away! To me, it seemed somewhat in between a 45SLP and an 822.

To this date, it's the only F tuba I have fallen in love with. I love the sound. It's easy to play. It's very in-tune. I do not want to wait for it to become available. I want it now.

Hi-
But I wonder if, like some other M-W horns of past and present, it will need to be serviced due to piston problems? Hopefully, the Germans will address this issue and have people spending big money on new equipment only to have to take it to a repairman to get the pistons from not sticking...

I have recently talked to Velvet Brown, and Roland Szentpali, and they are crazy about their horns!

I love mine. Great sound, response etc and by far the most in tune f tuba I have ever played.

Who is selling them? Are they available yet?
Also, has MW come out with a new rotary valve F (post Kodiak) yet?

They are on order and I may have them all for ITEC in May. We'll have to wait and see but we're trying.
All the best.
