Honestly...
I think you're going to be far better off keeping the MW and practicing/playing on it as much as possible. Your MW is probably far easier to play than lots of more "popular" tubas.
Maybe I'm way off base here, but I believe that you'll have the same problems with a new horn that you're having with your MW, prehaps even more!
If you just want a new tuba, by all means...get a new tuba...but saying that you want to buy a new one because you can't sound good on your current one because you don't practice doesn't seem like a good reason to be buying a different horn to me.
