Consider this my endorsement of Joe's mouthpieces:
Oddly, enough, that picture was taken before I bought any Blokepieces. . .
But seriously, I keep trying other mouthpieces and gravitating back to the Sellmansberger Solo (and, sometimes, my original Hellebergs/Mike Finn's new copy of an original Helleberg).
I bought a lexan-rim Bloke Symphony with the intent of playing it on sousaphone (because the lighter MP would mean less cranking down on the neck screw) and was pleased to find that it works great on the one horn that just didn't seem to agree with the Bloke Solo.
If votes of confidence are in playing it: I did a full solo recital at Mansfield University playing the Bloke-Solo on CC, Eb, and F.
If you prefer the dollars-as-votes-of-confidence: This is my fourth Sellmansberger MP - a fixed rim original, one each of the Solo in Euro and American shanks, and, now, the Symphony.
Thanks, Joe!
