Greetings all,

This is a piece I composed as a part of my master's degree project. It is a blending of a lot of different musical interests I have had through the years. This a recent and very 'live' performance at the end of a very long and busy music festival day at my school.

The piece explores a number of different moods and uses some more experimental techniques while still hopefully sticking true to essential 'tubaness'. Quite a lot of it is 'tongue-in-cheek.' The piece was composed along-side a modern dance choreography. What you see here is a performance where I organized something of a 'flashmob' of friends and friends of friends which we prepared just a couple of hours before the performance.

I wanted to share this with the tuba community at large, and I hope you enjoy. The video quality is not as good as I would like.. But I am no technical genius. A better quality video of another performance is coming soon.

All the best, remember to watch both vids ;)

keep in mind, that the second half is radically different from the first half. I like the later performance better (links in the previous post) but this has it's merrits, even if it's a bit tentative at times.
