I worked with Rob some early in my career. Great man, great musician. Thank you for the information on his passing.

I grew up listening to the Boss Brass. It's a sad day.

A sad day indeed... When I was growing up, Rob McConnell (and his Boss Brass) were a real inspiration for so many of us Canadian musician "wanna-be's". He was a very active performer and innovator, and a hell of a nice guy. Maybe his name is not as well known in some circles, but in his day he worked with everyone in the business. In the seventies he released many exciting albums and was a cornerstone of the Canadian Music scene. Here are a couple links for those who may be interested.
