Hello all,

I've been asked to do a demonstration/"show and tell" at a local school. The students range from kindergarten up to second grade. I'll be bringing my CC tuba and my tenor trombone. I'm looking for advice on something to play for these students. I'll be on my own and in all likely-hood will be repeating this through several classes through out the day. Thanks for your help.

For reasons of displacements in space and in millenniums I cannot be specific, but if you don’t know which tunes are familiar with the kids, then ask one of the music teachers on the school.

Catch the attention with a solo tune on either instrument which employs special effects like extreme ranges and/or animal imitations. Repeat with the other instrument at some point during the presentation. Do some sing along sessions with you doing the instrumental lead. If at all possible prerecord a multitrack background comp played by yourself to augment melodic, harmonic, and rhythmic interest.
