Is this the Weril Nirschl that was reportedly to cost $5,500 w/case?

Nice horn, glad the leadpipe issue has been resolved.

The original leadpipe angle looked like it was easily managed with the use of a playing stand, though.

I played on one of the old-design Nirschl CCs at KMEA a few months ago. Obviously, since the leadpipe jutted out at an odd angle, it was a little awkward to hold... but I also found it a lot harder to manipulate tuning slides from that position as well. I'm glad the issue's been resolved, as I liked the way the horn played... just not the ergonomics.

Can anyone who has access to one of these new 4/4 Nirschls supply me with some dimensions for the bell?

1. bell flare diameter

2. height (from bell flare to center of bow ferrule)

3. diameter where the bell meets the bow ferrule

Thanks one and all - - - - - -

That last dimension request was supposed to be "circumference" -----

(geometry was never my strong suit)

We did not change the mouthpipe length one centimeter

I supposed its because the mothpipe position for J-870 is lower den J-880 thats why the length of the mouthpipe is not changed. Take another look at those 2. :)

Are these horns being offered for sale anywhere yet? Gemstone will not answer inquiries about them it seems.
