Back in the saddle again....

Ok, from 1985-1999, I was on top of the latest that the tuba world had to offer. I knew the lit, the players, and the equipment. I smoozed with the best and took lessons wherever and whenever I could. After a 10-11 year emphasis on waving my paws in front of groups rather than playing, I'm out of touch a bit. I turned 40 and realized, I will not live forever like I thought when I was 30. If I'm gonna get back in the tuba, I need to do it now!
So....
I'm up a bit on the horns just by watching Tubenet weekly. But as far as literature and who the big boys are in the world I am behind a bit. Three questions for you all.
1. What great lit has come out in the last decade?
2. What great young studs and studettes are out there?
3. Any helpful suggestions on getting back to a higher level?
