I think one of the major factors to consider is personal comfort. A tuba that is comfortable for me to play will not necessarily feel right to you. When I have to play a tuba that is not comfortable I can't get loose and free. When I play one of my own Frankentubas (small, medium, or large) I can get around easily because I set it up the way I wanted it and have had the pleasure of playing it for long periods of time. If a tuba is awkward to hold then I just can't play it long enough to get loose.

If you were happy with a Mirafone once, then perhaps you should look at Mirafones or 'fone clones again. But if you are primarily a euphonium player you might want to try a Besson "Stratford" or "2-20" because it is so similar to a euphonium, but only little bigger.
