I think it is a tuba bell rather than a sousa bell because the angle of the bell is slightly upward (60 degrees?) as opposed to a 90 degree bend in the bell. What model horn would this have been from? How old?

I think it is for a Conn 2XJ. It is very similar to my Conn 20J bell.

Is there a model number on the collar outside if you check it all the way around? That's where it'd be...

Well, if it has a 6" collar, it can't be. Maybe it's for an Eb?
You are right. I just measured my 20J and it is 8 in.

yeah I knew it was too small for a 20 series. It could be for an Eb that is a good possibility. No model number on the collar and I do not have the original tuba for this bell. This bell is on an old Buescher tuba that I have.
