Long gone HB2

In 1986, I sold my HB2 to a student of Chester Schmitz... He came up near Concord, NH to buy that horn for $6,600.... I've missed that thing ever since...

I feel your pain. You see, I once sold my HB-2P, perhaps the best HB-2P in existence, years ago after an accident, thinking I wasn't ever really going to be playing again. Oh, the heartache...
Anyway, please let me know, Ken, how that horn is treating you. I can take comfort in the fact that I have the benefit of knowing where mine is, I guess
This is also a friendly reminder that if you ever decide to sell it, I still want to know first.

I am sure Ken is getting a good deal of pleasure from the horn. I know I am getting considerable enjoyment sitting next to him, listening to him play it in the section Tuesday nights.

Me too. Except mine was a Kurath F (4p/1r) and a mid-70's 5v 186 CC. I'd like to know where they are today as well.

If so, then not stored with the name attached (which I for security reasons hardly ever do with persons still alive. If the photo was taken in a specific context, instrument or ensemble related information may lead to something.

If you're speaking of the 184 with the added 5th, he still has it and it ROCKS. He premiered the Clarence Barber concerto on it no too long ago.
