Well it is interesting, I've seen and donelotx of the exercises but I can't say it's something that really jumped out at me and said you must buy/do this. Seems to me a lot of it was geared at relaxing and stretching or somewhat meditating to prepare yourself for playing. That being said you can likely design a decent routine for yourself without too much trouble. Their other book though, the Brass Gym has some interesting exercises and warm ups that I found worthwhile.
I agree with the poster that getting really excited about something doesn't mean that it will stay with you further down the road. On the other hand, anything that generates new excitement doing something you love isn't without merit.

The Brass Gym is a has some really good stuff in it. I've been using it as my warmup routine for a few months now, and would highly recommend it.
