That looks a bit like the British military "Duty Bugle" or "Gunga Din" model.

But it is only 15 cm long (6"). And not double wound.

How's the harmonic series on that one Klaus? A bit strange, maybe?

I don’t own this one, but I liked the shape of the bugle. I guess it is pitched somewhere around Eb an octave above an Eb cornet. That would make about 3 or 4 partials possible.
I have an even shorter, but straight, British hunting bugle in G. On a good day I have two partials, but its regular use, as I have heard it in televised fox hunts, only is about playing the fundamental. Truly monotonic.

Firstly, Klaus, I think rotary valves would be more appropiate.
Thanks for the picture, though
Now, if Bud H were about he would play Hummel on it.
We mere mortals would probably struggle to do much with a piccolo Eb bugle.
Ya done damned fine shoin us this - keep it up.

Similar to a more recent sporting horn I think.

I simply liked the looks of that little thing. Looks much better than the horrors spread from Pakistan.
Even the best rotors have more distortion to their passage geometry than most pistons have.
I don’t know from where the term vuvuzela comes. To me it sounds like bad French, even if I cannot tell whether it is question or a statement. Translations would be:
You, you zealot?
You! You! Zealot!

Very much the same profile, but two and a half octave off.
