He is not the only one, but still a pretty rare item in "modern jazz" - this artice was mentioned first over on the TubaEuph list:

Interesting article. I enjoyed it.
However, I would not agree that the euphonium is a smaller tuba.
Still a good article and he is doing it his way.

Brad Felt is a Michigan treasure. He is a lot of fun to listen to on both horns. One of the times I got to see him in person was at a yuppie club in Birmingham, MI, 'a posh Detoit suburb in their eyes', where they ask him not to play loud because the cool patrons coudn't hear their babbling conversations of nothing. Anyway his group sounded great, especially his bassist. If you have the chance to hear him don't pass it up.
