Any recommendations where one could obtain the Tubby the Tuba solo part for study purposes?
Thanks

Orchestra.
But, now that you mention it -- and I wasn't aware of a band version -- I'd like to see what is different/similar in the band version as well.
Thanks

[quote="bbtubaman"]The key of course
the fingerings are the same no matter if you play BBb or CC tuba.
Somewhat unclear what you mean in your response, "bbtubaman."
Is the band edition in the same key? Different key? ("The key of course" doesn't tell much in that respect, does it?)
"[T]he fingerings are the same no matter if you play BBb or CC tuba." Again, unclear. When I play Vaughan Williams with orchestra I use the same fingerings as if I were to play with band -- notes are the same on the horn regradless of being in front of an orchestra or band; depends only whether I am playing it on CC or F tuba -- or, as I gather from your post, Bbb. You see how I am unclear in what you are trying to get across in your reply?
Guess I was inquiring if the solo part is identical in the two settings, i.e., asking if there were any significant differences in what is written in the solo part. (Assuming, of course, that we all know the notes and fingerings on our respective instruments.)
Thanks. (Once again.)

The band version is down 1 whole step from the original orchestra version.

You might want to check with J.W. Pepper....if it is available, they can help you.

I think that I saw a copy of the band version in my music library.
