Built my own tuba stand...take a look!

After spending 16 bucks at the hardware store and few days of sawing, sanding, glueing, and waiting for glue to dry, I have my very own tuba stand! I constructed it so that the three parts (base, neck, and seat) come apart for portability. I just used a 1-1/8" dia. dowel for the neck and have two interchangeable lengths of dowel so that I can use it either while sitting or standing. I get really antsy having to sit and practice for so long so this allows me to appease my restless legs
Also, the standing posture seems to really improve my airflow, which is great.
Okay, so it's not "finished" yet, but it's "functional" at this point. I still need to trim the excess glue, finish the wood, and put some sort of grippy fabric on top. I would finish it, but I'm too busy using it! Anyway, just thought I'd share this creation with the 'Net.
Here it is in "standing" mode -

In "sitting" mode -

All the pieces after it's been taken apart -

Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Stephen
