Good headphone for only one ear

I have worked with headphones for private multitrack recording and for miked feedback. Earplugs are out of the question, as they give the same raw inner-throat-nasal hearing like when plugging one ear with a finger for vocal intonation control.
For trombones I prefer a headphone for the right ear only, as I have the bell very close to my left ear for better balance of the instrument. I used to have a one-sided earphone. But it was not very good, and it is long broken and has been thrown away. I don’t see any one-sided headphones when looking. Can they be had in a decent quality with 2 or 3 speakers for the same ear? If I can get one in the right quality, I might use it with other instruments also.

Wade, I know that trick, but the last really high end set of earphones I had, now ruined and scrapped, were AKG (?) with 3 speakers in each bowl, or what you call it. Extremely good for listening to stereo and for control listening to my Finale work, as there was sort of a surround effect making the sound very alive. The Finale listening was, what killed them, because I took them off (please read: dropped them to the floor) when my ears warmed too much.
These headphones were too fat in their 3rd dimension for use with my trombones. I have the bell stack or the valve tubing touching my left ear, because my sore wrist cannot hold the trombones if there is an outward torsion pulling the trombone to the left.
The one ear phone also was a great relief in weight. These one ear phones were previously in much use among radio journalists.

Somebody would want me to say when serving lunch: I’m all ears!
Rather I would say: Buy a new van, Gogh!

There are some single sided headphones marketed to DJs that could possibly fit the bill.
I don't know if they would compare at all to something nice like high end Sennheisers or Grados, but if might be worth checking into if it's more about having a single sided headphone than it is about the listening experience. We use these for click tracks with the orchestra sometimes and they get the job done, but I don't know how much else you'd want to do with them.
I've seen some called Stantons in some stores for about $100 if I remember correctly.

I found several choices by Googling "single headphone".
