Protec gig bag strap?

Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement strap for a Protec tuba gig bag? I can't seem to find a proper one on their website, and I know I've bought one before. The only straps on their website are "universal fit" straps with what appear to be plastic clasps, (which is, to be frank, S-T-U-P-I-D.) Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

Are you asking about the detachable strap which comes with the bag, or are you asking about one of the two backpack straps [permanently attached]? I suppose the detachable one might be used for carrying on one shoulder, but I have never used mine except for an improvised tuba playing strap. That one has a pair of very heavy-duty plastic clips that give me no qualms when using it. 8)

I'm talking about the straps with the removable clasps. My particular Protec bag must be an older example, as it doesn't have the built in straps. I really just need a replacement strap to tide me over until I can buy a new bag for the horn. I despise the design of the Protec bag, but I need it to last for another 6 months or so. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated!

The most simple answer is to contact a luggage supply place. A quick google search turned up this:

Somebody else might have a better source.
Good luck!

Well, the strap that comes with the bag, with 2 plastic [quite rugged, actually] end-clips would seem to be your replacement choice, or a strap from a luggage or rifle store. If you can't find anything else locally, pm me and we can talk about my spare strap.
