Hey everyone!

Does anyone have pictures of the symbols used (in music) for the double-bell euphonium? I am referring to the symbols that tell the performer when to use and not to use the small bell...I'm working on a composition project for my theory class and plan to do a double-bell euphonium/trombone duet.

The first piece that comes to mind is, "Light Cavalry Overture" by Franz von Suppe. He marked it 'Tromb bell' where he wanted the euph to use the smaller bell.

I went onto Pro-Quest and couldn't find anything in a search, so I think I'm going to have to e-mail about it...

Why not just say "Small Bell" or "Large Bell" ? Of course if you want to confuse people, you could try "Kleine oder Grosse Schalltrichter" !
