Hi Tubenetters,

I have recently read that there are multiple versions of this mouthpiece. I have one but I am not sure which version it is. I bought it new from Floyd approx. 3 years ago if that helps. I love using it on my Gronitz F.

What are the differences between the designs?

The difference in yours and the FC2 (an older model, which seems to be the most popular) is the throat in the new ones is a bit narrower. You should be able to take a new one and have it drilled to the size of the older ones...provided you can find that measurement (which I do not have). Hope this helps!

My understanding is there are only a handful of Cooley 2 Hellebergs out there. But yes the throat size is ever so slightly larger.
