That's terrible to hear. Was that the only thing taken? A tuba is a rather odd thing to steal... Best of luck getting it back.

Ah, crap. Sorry to hear this. From the serial number that would be an especially well-seasoned instrument. Any distinguishing characteristics? 4 valves or 5? Lacquered or bare? I haven't seen one, I'm just asking.

Five valves, bare brass, with quarters on the valve paddles.
It seems as if someone just walked in through an unlocked door and took it. No sign of forced entry and nothing else was stolen.

We are a pretty small tuba community in Vegas. Make sure to let Zach Jackson know and also Steve Kunzer. Check the Pawn Shops NOW. I will post something on the CCSD E-Mail service for you as there a few band directors that are tuba players. Start with Gold and Silver Pawn Sop on LV BLVD (Home of Pawn Stars). Rick is a good guy and will keep an eye out for your horn. Fairly unique instrument so if it is in town chances are you maight get it back. Good Luck.

Nothing that is worth more than $50 is an odd thing to be stolen. Tubas are worth considerably more than $50.
