I have never seen a band arrangement, but I did come across what I believe to be the original piano sheet music. Under the title it said, "dedicated to the Yale Mandolin Club". How it got from New Haven to New Orleans is anybody's guess.

John Gill's Yerba Buena Stompers did a very interesting version last month at the SunCoast festival in Florida.

Is this piece of sheet music available anywhere?? (slaver, slaver, drool)
It would be cool to try it as the backbone of a Dixieland arrangement with horns

Joe,

Try this link:

It's a midi and .pdf score arranged for sax quartet.

Good luck.

The Library of Congress has hundreds, if not thousands, of scores and sound recordings for music from this era, available online. Alas, High Society did not come up in the searches I did. Check out the printable archives: http://www.loc.gov/performingarts/" target="_blank

Hi bloke,

perhaps this (http://www.notebutikken.no/product_info.asp?Pid=20885) could help you.
There is a pdf-sample and a short recording, if you scroll down.

Good luck.

With all due respect: This looks like the experience of a NO funeral band taken back to to a brass band march. Hardly a primary source.
