Hi Check out this Guy on the sousaphone Jim, I did some valve work and cleaned and Chem dip his 38K 1926 Conn Sousphone Yestorday .A Very nice person and a Kick *** sousaphone Player From (The West Phildelphia Orchestra)

Yup, Harvey, I like that high energy sousaphone playing. Compact sound, no blatting. Aside from Jim being a fine player, I also tend to see a relation from there to the not overly large bell flare. All of my Conns (16K, 28K, 40K) have 24" bells, which I prefer over 26". This one even looks like having a 22" bell.

If you like this sort of band, and are not quite ready to go to the Balkans, be sure to check out the various Honk! Festivals that happen each year (Seattle, Boston, Providence and a few other places. Austin is having one 2011!)
