Sad News

Post by Markneukirchen »

Dear friends and fellow tuba & euphonium players,

I have some very sad news of the death of my dear friend Kurt Klingspor.
He died quietly in a hospice near his home town in Germany,
watched on by his parents and devoted girlfriend.

He was a gentleman,
a true friend,
a fine tuba player,
and top class engineer.

He will be sadly missed by all that knew him,

I know he was active on this forum and had cultivated many friends in many different countries -
I'm sure we will all miss him.

I went to visit him a couple of months ago,
and he seemed OK.
I had hoped that he was on the mend and had beaten the cancer.

Sadly this was not to be,
and he entered a hospice just over a week ago.

He died quietly on Christmas Eve.

I didnt want to post on Christmas Day,
as I sure he wouldn't have wanted to upset anyone's Christmas.

Sorry to be the bearer of this sad news.
Here's hoping that Kurt has gone on to playing in one of Gods better bands upstairs!

All the best,
Mark.
