Hello all,
Mouthpieces - For character of sound/evenness, which of the Mirafone tuba mouthpieces do you feel work well on the Mirafone 186 CC?
I myself have used an (older) Rose Orchestra for some time.
Thank you,
Kathott

Actually, I don't use a Miraphone mouthpiece on my MIraphone tuba. In the many years that I have owned and played one, I have never used a Miraphone mouthpiece.

I use a Mike Finn 2 on my miraphone 186 and it works great for me. But the best thing you can do is go to a shop and try a bunch of mouthpieces and find what works best for you

For many years, I used a Conn Helleberg with my 186-CC. In the past year, I have begun using a Mike Finn 3H when I play with large ensemble and want a big sound. It seems to work well for me. I still use the Helleberg in smaller ensembles.

Laskey 30G (with A shank)works best for my Miraphone 186 CC. Miraphone TU-31 is not bad. C4 is too small.

Please forgive me for the "ME TOO" type post. The mouthpiece that darkened the sound up and made me sound "bigger" was the Mike Finn 3. It also helped focus the low register. Before that mouthpiece, I used at PT-50. Ilso had lucl withb the Mirafone TU29.
