I would appreciate a PM from anyone familiar with the language William Bell made up. I'm not looking to be fluent or an authority, just some basic curiosity.

From http://www.iteaonline.org/2008/members/ ... ?page=bell" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
Members of the Sousa Band communicated in their own special language called “Alfalfa,” which served to confuse anyone hearing it.

Don Harry: Alfalfa is like Pig Latin only a million times better. Bell was a master of it, and it was a language that his wife spoke also, and he learned it from the Sousa Band. What they would do is talk in this Pig Latin, and no one can really pick up on exactly what you’re saying, but it sounds vaguely like a language. ... There are actually rules for vowels and consonants and where they appear. ...
I did a Google search on +alfalfa +language and found some other links, such as:

Does that get you started?
