Played them both. Meh, they are mouthpieces. I liked them better than their standard mouthpieces but not my cup of tea.

Just received the f piece a few days ago. Not got the cc yet but can't wait. I love this mouthpiece. Its exactly what iv been looking for. Seems to let me do exactly what I want without getting in the way. Could be a honeymoon period but so far so good. Well done all involved!

No idea about the older style. To be honest, I had no idea about the new ones. I do however have many trumpet colleagues who enthuse about them. I just thought I would give them a go through complete curiosity.
Very impressed !
Each to their own though, and I appreciate its a lot of dough for a trial.

I played on a bach 24aw (like lots of brit college kids) from 13 - 18. Then had a lesson with jens bjorn larsen whilst on tour in denmark and switched to a conn helleberg.
I then also was given a perantucci 89 to try with my EEb besson.
That's it. One instrument, very few mouthpiece changes.
I play pro in quintet, symph and chamber orchestra. No hang ups and very happy.
I then decided I wanted a cc tuba and possibly an f. Just for different options. Since then iv tried lots of the standard and some of the not so standard mouthpieces for these instruments.
All of them are ok. With practice they can all work. I just wanted to find my favourite. I soon learned that this is an endless search. You could go round in circles for years.
The new monettes may be my favourite so far.
I have now sold almost all the pieces I tried.
Find what works and stick with it.

I remembered this thread, having lately acquired one from a member of the board.
It isn't a magic mouthpiece. (Not that anyone thought it was.) But it is definitely different from any mouthpiece I've ever played. I've learned not to decide about a mouthpiece too soon after getting it. But it is different, in an enjoyable way.
