I discovered a 4 piston BBb tuba down in the basement at the jr high. The only problem with what looks to be a fairly good sized horn is well the bell or lack there of. However after looking on the shelves I found the matching bell to the horn.
My question is, is putting the bell back onto the tuba a hard thing(expensive) to do? The tuba and bell are apart at the lower section of the tuba where a tuba looks like it should come apart, ofcourse it wasn't professionally taken off.Just iit wasn't cut off or anything like that.
overall the thing wasnt' dented to pieces, just no bell. The leadpipe was still fully intact, just kinda hanging in mid air since it has no bell to hook onto. And the valves worked.
Putting Bell, back on tuba..

Yup. Having played 200 year old french horns for a living I can state that a vital part of most historical brass players' equipment is a roll of the stuffHeliconMan wrote:Horn with problem+duct tape+ingenuity=serviceable horn. You may want to do a duct tape test before you sink moolah into soldering the beast back together.
