Thanks to you all.....bought my horn!

Post by hokkmike »

Largely based on your advice I purchased a Yamaha YEP 321S 4 valved Euphonium.

Other factors include brand availability vs. price, needs of the group I will play with, and a little good luck.

I learned a lot in a couple of weeks. There is a big difference between playing borrowed or issued instruments over needing enough info to buy your own.

For me, it was a big purchase.

With your kind help I feel like my money was well spent. (now, I just hope I can play the darned thing)

It is about as good a horn as this week-end player could afford.

VERY cool! Best wishes. Now, futz with mouthpieces A BIT. Try the bach 4G (small shank) and the equivilent Yamaha. Many guys (people) get good results with the Wick 4's. HAVE FUN!!!

Congratulations! Nothing quite like the feeling of bringing home a new instrument. Hope it brings you many years of happiness!
