I have become increasingly frustrated with NPR. More talk, commercials and fund raisers with less of what I want.......good music. A friend turned me on to this link recently.

What a joy! What a treasure you guys in the Dallas area have. At least now I can listen to great music without all the other trash on my computer. The website is searchable every different way so I can plan for what I want to hear. Wow! Why didn't anyone else think of this since 1921.

A little too much organ music and string quartets for my taste. At least it seems that every time I flip over there that is what is on. I don't know if the Austin 89.5 station is online, but I loved it's programming when I was in Austin.

I almost never hear string quartets or organ music on WRR. The Wunder Radio app can help finding good radio stations if you have it on your mobile device.

I wish I had thought to mention WRR before, I guess I take it for granted. You can listen online here
http://www.wrr101.com/listen/" target="_blank" . It is owned by the City of Dallas and broadcasts classical music 24 hours a day! How'd that happen? In Dallas?
The history is on the website and you can read it if you want. About every 7-10 years there's a move to sell the station but so far it has remained the classical blowtorch for the DFW area.
They have a nice playlist today including the Dallas Wind Symphony at 7:12pm, playing Grainer's,
The Merry King. I was happy to see that. They are supportive of the DWS but there is certainly a fair share of string quartet, opera, etc.
