$18.57 US. Can I send you a check? :D

You're probably better off posting a bunch of pictures. "Minor signs of age" are more likely "minor signs of use".

But I would guess somewhere in the ballpark of $4500 (assuming the valves are tight and no dents) for a yellow brass 188 with DVS linkage (white sockets with the little screws in the ends) and the old "sharp 2+3" 5th valve .

Other people may think it's worth more than that.

Brian, right? (Or, maybe you were the person who bought it from Brian?) I remember this one... I thought your original price was fair.

This advice was originally posted by somebody much smarter than me.

The best way to get an accurate appraisal of a used tuba (what somebody is actually willing to pay, now, instead of somebody's thoughts about what somebody ought to be willing to pay for it) is to use eBay. Put up some good photos, make sure your user account has some good feedback (sorry, if that's not the case, this won't do you much good), and set a reserve price comfortably higher than you'd be willing to accept. And don't disclose what the reserve it. Paypal only - make that crystal clear in the posting.

Then, you will see actual bids of what people are actually willing to pay, today. Not responses on TubeNet for what somebody would love to pay as soon as their student loan check comes in, or as soon as they sell their Yorkbrunner, or whatever.

Only cost to you is the listing fee with eBay. Not a bad price for a pretty accurate appraisal.
