Are you sure it's Tommy Johnson? Jim self played on a lot of the Star Trek movie soundtracks.

I asked about this when I first got onto the old board, and Jim Self personally answered. Both he and Tommy played the soundtrack, and they both used F and CC tubas. He said that it was one of his favorite sessions, and it was loaded with great tuba parts.
