Didn't know it was comming. It's not listed on the tubachristmas site. Jackson and Huntsville are the closest to me that are listed. 170 to Jackson, 240 to Huntsville, 176 to Memphis. I think the Huntsville distance is close than that, but the map sites go the long route through Birmingham
the snazzy Peabody Hotel) called Peabody Place. There's also a connected walk-over parking garage, as well.
Too bad they cannot do it ihn the Peabody itself. The ducks would enjoy it:)
My wife want's to stay at the Peabody some time anyway... I wonder what the winter rates are.
If it is happening, this guy will know the particulars
Email sent. Thanks.
Still anyone here ever been (or planning to go) to the Jackson or Huntsville.

Is Nashville a possibility?
December 13, noon, Nashville Public Library (huge marble halled, three story, balconied, open atrium). Right downtown with lots of restaraunts and the Frist art gallery within walking distance.

If only. I'm almost due south of Jackson the entire 170 miles. Nashville is way out of my weekend driveing range

I"ll be at Huntsville on Saturday. In the car with me will be my son the trombone player who has been working hard on mastering Eb tuba fingerings so that he can play my antique helicon. I'm betting this will be the "most interesting instrument" there!

My wife informed me I won't be going to Huntsville. Too much to do at home.
I will be in Jackson though.

Isn't it amazing how a wife can know you won't be going to Huntsville? My wife seems to have a similar ability to forecast my future.

No, this Saturday

Dec 11.
I'm the same way with Jackson. Even when I lived in Adamsville. Memphis wasn't much farther, nor ws Tupelo, MS.

Where and when is the Jackson event?
I'm not seeing it on the TubaChristmas site. I might be blind also, but who knows.
BTW, for us Memphis and Jonesboro area people, I am trying to get a TubaChristmas sponsorship next year for the area, but not at the same time that Memphis does theirs. It would be nice to be able to have more than one option at his time of year. drop me a line if you might be interested in playing or helping with logistics.

I must have cruised right by it. I would have sworn that I looked right at the Tennessee section this morning and not seen it.
I have an honor band problem that morning. I guess that I am out of any TubaChristmas this year.
This shows that I only see it when I believe it.
