Anyone ever heard of "Bohmann?"

Has anyone here ever heard of/come across a tuba with the name "L. Bohmann Chicago" on it?
I recently came across a little Eb horn, silver plated, which (by the look of the valve buttons, wrap, bell shape) I would guess to be from about 1890-1900. A little engraving around the name, nothing fancy, and generic enough that when you add the stamped appearance of the letters in "L. Bohmann Chicago," I would assume it's some sort of stencil horn, perhaps.
Anyone know anything about these?
(Sorry, didn't think to take a picture at the time.)
