A small shank Bach (or the equivalent) 5G or a 12C.

+1. If you want a mellower tone, a Schilke 50 in regular tenor trombone shank also sounds really, really good on "American" style baritones, intonating well across the range and carrying good tone.

I wonder where the U-bend right after the main tuning slide came from, especially if that bend has a bore progression.
Is your point a mellowphone or a thick valve trombone. If the latter a wide and not too deep mouthpiece would be worth trying. Bach #3 or Denis Wick 4BS.

At the request of the fellow I built this for... I put a Besson large-shank euphonium receiver on this one. That would enable you to use a bass trombone shank MP if you prefer. In the picture... there is a large/small shank adapter with a Conn 3 stuck in it.
Otherwise... just stick a baritone receiver on it and use a plain old 12C on it.

Ian -
I understand what you are going for, and I think you should make another one.
Your next baritone Jazzophone should have more bracing. I look at all the pictures and I would be just afraid to touch it because it looks a bit fragile.
Also, you might try to figure out how to rearrange the wrap so the horn is more compact. The idea of using an old baritone is great because the recording style bell makes for a great look.
And consider using a couple of strap hooks so you can use a neck strap like a Sax or some such stuff.

If your new contraption is leaky and non-resonant, then a Bach 12C of course becomes a relevant choice. At least as relevant as any other small shank mouthpiece.
If you want broadness with fast response, then go for wide & shallow.
