I'm considering doing something similar with parts from my GG blat-weasel... some day.

Why would you want a tenor tuba in A? After al there are some many players out there able to make a Bb euph sound a semitone flat.

Hello Scottye, I know you are looking!
Just stirring the pot a bit:
From very similar parts, only narrower and longer, you could get a Wagner tuba in F. Straight bell and pistons shouldn’t hurt the musical function.
