Sad news:
A young man died at his own hand yesterday afternoon. He was in the 9th grade at my school. He was a quiet sort and had a select group of friends. He really enjoyed band and had started playing the tuba at the beginning of this school year. He spent his lunch hours with a couple of friends hanging out in the band room having lunch with the band director. His band director said that he was really coming along and was looking forward to marching in the local parades this spring. Of all the players in his section, his director said that he could be counted upon to have the rhythm right.
If you are the sort to do so, I'm sure your kind thoughts would be appreciated.
