Would playing the euphonium (an equal amount of time) be harmful (or beneficial) to a tuba player's embouchure?

Thanks
Don

I think that playing the euphonium helps my tuba high register and my tuba technical facility. I also believe that playing the tuba helps my euphonium low register and breath control. Therefore, I would say that playing the euphonium an equal amount of time is beneficial to both my tuba embouchure and my euphonium embouchure.

FWIW I suspect that external pressures will in most cases be the determining cause directing your practice "budget". In my case its a lot easier to grab the euph than to heft the tuba around. Just blowing either one contributes to the whole. :tuba:

I agree in that once one masters one, it is easy to master another.
