This Saturday the 11th of June there is the big parade on the Horseguard’s grounds in London. Our British members know much more about that event than I do. Yet, I am planning on watching the broadcast on German ARD at 11.40AM West European DST (GMT+2).
Lots of silly speak over the music, but still a good opportunity to watch the massed bands of the Household Guards and also the two mounted bands join in.
Maybe some of you can watch the event via the web.

Re: Trooping the Colour 2011
It is the Queen's official birthday parade and the guards bands normally number couple hundred or more musicians - if I remember correct there were 10 tubas last year. In addition there are the mounted band (on horseback) of the household cavalry. Well worth watching and listening. There are the old faithful marches and usually a new one, or two for the occasion too.
