Question on Meinl-Weston 45/46 tubas

So, I'm looking for another F tuba, that is larger than my Cerveny 653. Seems like several Meinl-Weston 45/46 tubas are floating around in the market right now, and I'm looking at these...

While the Cerveny is a great small tuba, I just feel like it's a little too small for me both physically and in terms of sound/projection in ensemble work.

I've only tried a Meinl-Weston 45 once, and it was too long ago for me to remember much. I've tried (and for the most part liked) other F tubas like the Miraphone 181, Firebird, PT-10, MW45-SLP, and a MW-45S (the "S" is a bigger tuba).

In terms of size, projection, and sound, how does the MW-45 stack up? I know it's not the most *modern* style for an F tuba, nor do I expect perfection for the price. Just looking for a few thoughts to compare/contrast the 45 to other models I do know a little better.

Thanks! :tuba:
