If you’re like us here at Yid Vicious Enterprises LLC, you’ve gotten tired of watching movies in complete silence with no dialogue, sound effects or, most important, music. Sure, we can all dream about one day seeing films with recorded sound synchronized to the images, but such technology is years and possibly decades in the future.
BUT, what if you showed a silent film WITH LIVE MUSICAL ACCOMPANIMENT? That’s right, for the first time ever on any stage anywhere, Yid Vicious will combine moving images and music! The images will be provided by excerpts from the classic 1920 German film The Golem, while the music will be performed by Yid Vicious, with its excitingly frenetic klezmer stylings. The Golem, directed by Paul Wegener, is among the most famous documentaries about clay-sculpting produced during the great Berlin film renaissance of the Weimer era. Yid Vicious, meanwhile, is a long-time Madison klezmer band that has for years entertained and baffled audiences with their enthusiastic Yiddish dance stylings, and also their vests. Together, Yid Vicious and The Golem will create an unprecedented visual/musical experience. Also, Yid Vicious will play an opening set with music alone to prepare the audience for the shock
of witnessing hearing music while light is being projected onto a screen.
Also, this ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT will be held at The High Noon Saloon, where, prohibition having finally ended, one can enjoy spirit beverages.
