Beersheba Neo-Baroque Suite by Alfred Bartles.
Enjoyable to play and hear.
It can also be played with a euphonium instead of a cello

Thank you. Would you know of any recordings of this piece out there?

I like using real music to develop musicianship. This transcription of mine has been uploaded to my Yahoo-based project of free downloadable music:

This transcription comes in various keys for diverse pairs of instruments:

There are a couple written for Harvey Phillips by David Baker. I think he also wrote a work for tuba and string quartet.

I stand by my offer of the free Beethoven transcription, but I am just now taking the opportunity to improve a few graphical matters like line and stem thicknesses. The said Eb revised version has been uploaded, but please wait a few hours with the other versions. If the upload date is in June 2011, the corrections have been applied.

I don't have a specific title for you, but I do have a suggestion. If you are a college student and have sufficient time before your recital date, this could be a great time to get in touch with the composers of the school of music and have one of them compose a piece for you. I think that these performer/composer relationships are so incredibly important and are not encouraged enough. I'm also sure that any eager young composer would be too ready to dive into writing for such an interesting, non-standard instrumentation (I definitely know that I would).

The files linked to in my above posting now all have had the graphical improvements applied. The link for the index of my full project of free music is here:

That sounds very interesting I will look into that one because I do like that piece.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions they are very helpful

I would highly recommend Bruce Broughton's Bipartition. Doug Tornquist put out an excellent recording on his recent CD.
I also found that some of Hindemith's various duets worked well. He wrote pieces for two bassoons, two cellos, etc.

I don’t know this one. Looks being on the lighter side, which shall not be scoffed at. But the tubist will have to read octave down.

Looks like IMSLP has more relevant stuff.

A bit draconic in its demands maybe. Same reading down an octave for the tubist:

This one is for two celli. The composer’s name is not especially inviting, and the target group maybe better would be cello and euphonium:
