Case or Cases for a Conn 20J Tuba

Post by TubaGuy1982 »

Hi Guys......

I obtained a Conn 20J Recording tuba in february and have been curious about something now..... i know or at least think i know that they make cases for these horns but was wondering if anyone could tell me or steer me in the right direction as to what stores might sell them.....im just curious as i use it for concert band and i have to travel a great distance across campus to the concert hall in not always the most pleasent of conditions in michigan

if anyone has some info they could share with me about this i would greatly appreciate it as i would like to get cases for it soon

thanks

Although I'm sure there are used cases floating around... those cases can still be purchased new from Allied Supply. Brace yourself, though... depending on your dealer mark-up... the set of two cases is going to be between $600 and $1,000 plus freight.

I bought an almost-new bell case from Taylor Music a while back. You might give them a shout.

Hi!
Call Taylor music (1-800-USA-BAND). They sell the 2-piece cases for $475.00 plus shipping. Their source wanted 1-1/2 times that!!!
Ask about used cases, too. I picked up a decent Body and Bell case, an Alto Clarinet case, and a Gard bag for a 186 for less than 300 clams with the shipping!
