I should try removing the remaining four pistons on my 52j. Then it'd play 4x better than before!

If you removed the 2nd valve wouldn't the current 3rd valve become the 2nd valve by default and have to be removed as well leaving only one valve? Which would be even better.

There are a couple tubas on eBay now, all from the same seller, that are all missing a valve.

I like that smilie face, it's really quite spot on.

Sure it is a mouthpiece receiver? Sounds like it is a phartphonium.
